dc.description.abstract | This research paper aims to develop a clear understanding of the emergence of smart cities and their contribution to the digital economy in Vietnam. In this study, a survey was carried out to test the hypotheses put forth. The research work adhered to the deductive approach, a quantitative method of research focused to survey questionnaires, and adopted a cross-sectional time horizon for data collection. The research also tried to establish several relationships between various variables related to digital transformation and smart cities. The major findings of the research paper are that the participants tend to agree that there is a digital transformation in Vietnam and smart-city development must be associated with the digital transformation. Also, most of them believe that smart cities’ implementation can significantly reduce the death toll of F0 infection, strengthen the human quality of life, and contribute to Vietnam’s economic progress. | vi_VN |
