Abstract: Seeking feasible solutions on reducing plastic waste pollution becomes a predominant topic of research and practice these days for all stakeholders across the world. Vietnam is not an exception. This is because Vietnam was ranked at top 5 in plastic debris exhausted to the ocean, and consumes a huge amount of plastic with limited recycling rate (under 10%). In this study, we focus on the way to minimize the contaminated plastic waste and consumed plastic products through devising a theory of change and logic model in the context of circular economy. We propose an action plan, monitoring, and evaluation of interventions and activities toward reducing plastic waste 2030 for a typical region in Vietnam, Danang city. Our study proposing long-term outcomes and its social impact could be a beneficiary for local governors, enterprises, community and non-profit government organizations.
