An Experimental Study of Walrus Optimization-Based Deep Learning Models for Software Effort Estimation

Title: An Experimental Study of Walrus Optimization-Based Deep Learning Models for Software Effort Estimation
Authors: Nguyen, Duy Khanh; Dao, Khanh Duy; Dang, Thi Kim Ngan; Ha, Thi Minh Phuong; Huynh, Ngoc Tho
Abstract: Software Effort Estimation plays a pivotal role in project planning, resource allocation, and cost management within the software development life cycle. This study investigates the integration of deep learning models Convolutional Neural Network, Recurrent Neural Network, Long Short-Term Memory, Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory and Multilayer Perceptron with the Walrus Optimization Algorithm for hyperparameter tuning. By using five standard SEE datasets including China, Kemerer, Kitchenham, Maxwell, Miyazaki94, we assess the model's performance using multiple evaluation metrics: Mean Squared Error, Mean Absolute Error, Coefficient of Determination (R2), Mean Magnitude of Relative Error, and Prediction Accuracy at 2 5 % (Pred(25)). Experimental results reveal that LSTM and its variant consistently outperform other models in terms of MSE, MAE, and R2 in most datasets, demonstrating the advantage of sequence-based learning for SEE. The proposed framework offers a replicable methodology for applying evolutionary optimization to deep learning in SEE.

Title: Legal Framework for Electronic Labor Contracts in Enterprises
Authors: Nguyen, Thi Phuong Thao
Abstract: The rapid growth of digital technologies has driven the digitalization of human- resource management, leading to the increasing use of electronic labor contracts in enterprises. Vietnamese law recognizes the legal validity of electronically concluded labor contracts; however, several legal challenges remain regarding electronic signatures, evidentiary value, data integrity, personal data protection, and the parties’ responsibilities in dispute resolution. This article analyzes the current legal framework governing e-labor contracts, examines practical issues in enterprise implementation, and proposes recommendations to enhance legal certainty and compliance in the digital labor environment.

Verb Form Errors Made by Non-English Major University Students in Vietnam

Title: Verb Form Errors Made by Non-English Major University Students in Vietnam
Authors: Tran, Thi Thuy Lien
Abstract: This research aims at examining the most common types of errors in using English verbs made by students in EFL (English as a foreign language) classes. Hereby, it is conducted to help students become better aware of using English verbs and contribute to creating a positive learning atmosphere at school. In addition, this current study aims to make some recommendations to help EFL teachers in schools have a more holistic view of students’ mistakes so that they can apply more effective error correction methods. In order to achieve its objectives, the researcher intentionally asked students to write a letter to send to her in the first lesson of the semester from which verb-related errors that students made were identified. After analysing the errors, suggestions are proposed to help students overcome and limit errors. The research is conducted based on the viewpoints of modern linguists. The main method used is qualitative and data were collected from students’ writing and classroom observation.
