Abstract: Electronic health records (EHRs) are vital digital documents that contain patient medical information. The use of blockchain technology in healthcare has the potential to transform the industry’s data management practices while also addressing security, privacy, and data-sharing concerns. In this paper, we propose an architecture for a blockchain-based system for storing and sharing EHRs that prioritizes privacy and improves healthcare data security. The paper introduces various Hyperledger Fabric concepts and proposes a permissioned blockchain system solution for storing and sharing healthcare records based on the Hyperledger Fabric framework and some cryptography techniques. Patients have complete control over their medical information and can authorize doctors to view it by using grant and revoke access mechanisms.
