Abstract: The article analyzes the theories of reading comprehension process; Methods on teaching and learning for reading comprehension through 3 stages: before reading, while reading and after reading; Skills and strategies in reading comprehension process; Activities to enhance students’ interest in reading comprehension lessons. In particular, it focuses on how to conduct the activities suitable for the abilities, purposes and concerns from students in ESL classes at Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, The University of Da Nang bringing about effective lessons while still ensuring excitement. The author hopes that the result reported in the article can be a useful reference for many lecturers and students at various educational institutions in the country.
